<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Catholic Church or organized religion as a whole; but viewing the Pope as a great humanitarian it is a very sad day indeed.Originally posted by Evil Toymank:

yeah Im basically feeling the same way, he was basically the icon of "the pope" for me from growing up seeing his image and stuff
I was born and raised Catholic, but "left" the church in my teens as I read about and explored the different concepts of religion and spirituality that exist throughout the world. Though I currently do not consider myself a follower of any particular "faith" - and am not a proponent of organized religion in general, no matter what the faith - I am deeply saddened by the loss of one who was such a beacon of grace, faith, hope, and humanitarianism for so many people around the world.
Personal religion/faith aside, John Paul II was a good man who contributed greatly and positively to this world during his time in it.
Rest in Peace.

I'm not a big of Catholics, but he was one of the few high-place people who tried to make the world a better place.
